Minnesota History Center

IMR has had the privilege of completing multiple phases of exterior restoration on the iconic Minnesota History Center in St. Paul, a landmark building that stands as a cornerstone of the state’s cultural and civic heritage.

In 2017, IMR performed critical masonry preservation work, including comprehensive sealant replacement, selective stone replacement and rebuilding, and tuckpointing throughout the exterior. These efforts addressed long-term wear and helped reinforce the building’s structural integrity while maintaining its distinguished architectural character.

In 2022, IMR returned to the Minnesota History Center to complete a full exterior wash of the building, a meticulous cleaning process that revived the natural appearance of the stone and restored the facade to its original look.
